It is a junction point for many Langtang trail.

Day 05: Syabru to Sing Gompa 3350m. Today is a steeper walk mostly uphill with some characteristically Himalayan ups and downs. The terrain remains forested with open areas, which give views back the way you have come. Your stop today is Sing Gompa at the town at Chandanbari. You can visit the old monastery.

Day 06: Sing Gompa to Goshainkund Lake 4380m. This morning you take one of the less-trekked trails to Gosainkund Lake. It is a steep climb, but spectacular. This is one of the highest lakes in the world. You may have some mild altitude symptoms here, such as a loss of appetite or headache. The pilgrims consider it a sign of Shiva's (Hindu God) blessing.

Day 07: Goshainkund to Tharepati. After Goshainkund the air at today's stop Tharepati will be seen positively thick. Up early to start a short climb to a pass above the lake followed by a steep downhill section on a high trail. Finally, over a ridge is Tharepati a long day but spectacular.
